STRATEGY DEVELOPING
Create a vision – Set strategic goals – Develop a strategy
The choices an organization makes about its strategy rely heavily on its culture – just as patterns of behavior can emerge as strategy, patterns of thinking will shape an organization’s perspective.
Understanding and using each element of our strategy approach helps you develop a robust, practical and achievable business strategy.
Primož Mihelič: »For CEO’s, the biggest challenge is not about a lack of vision or knowing where to go and how to get there. They usually have to rely on themselves for addressing strategic topics and thus end up with no feedback. With us, they get an experienced, independent, objective and competent partner for discussing and developing strategic topics.«
Dr. Simon Mandelj, GEM motors: »I highly respect and trust my colleagues in GEM motors but they are simply focused on development and they are not educated enough for discussions about certain strategic topics. As far as I am concerned, I value mostly the objective standpoint regarding our strategic topics I get from Primož.«
Primož Mihelič was a board member and co-creator of strategy for an automotive company that received The Business Excellence Prize of the Republic of Slovenia.
Strategy involves the formulation and implementation of the major goals and initiatives taken by a company’s top management, based on the analysis of resources and an assessment of the internal and external environments in which the organization competes.
Strategic management provides overall direction to the enterprise and involves specifying the organization’s objectives, developing policies and plans designed to achieve these objectives, and then allocating resources to implement the plans. Numerous models and frameworks were developed to assist in strategic decision making in the context of complex and dynamic environments. The main point of every viable model is that the strategic management is not static in time; the models should include a feedback loop to analyze execution and gain insights for the next phases of strategy formation.
Corporate strategy should answer a key question from a broader perspective: “What business should we be in?” Business strategy answers the question: “How shall we compete in this business?” You made a right step starting to ask such questions and we can assist you in getting the best answers.
